Code: 02-B032 Price: £14.80
Format:
310 x 220 mm 50pp folder + CD ROM
“Make a Difference. A guidebook for
Person-centered direct support” is a new
addition from Inclusion Press, Canada, to the Inclusion Distribution
catalogue (see Books - M). Here is a 50 page Instructor's manual, with a
CD-ROM containing ready made PowerPoint presentations, slide show, Peter
Leidy songs sampler, articles -
everything you need to introduce Make a Difference to your team. It includes
some suggestions for guiding a group of learners through the experience of
improving their understanding of direct support. Because people will use
Make a Difference in many different ways, suggestions rather than detailed
lesson plans are included.
You
should complete the exercises in the book, including the Learning Journey
with a person with a developmental disability, before you lead others in
the process. This is the best way to get a feel for the tasks and to work
out how you will make the bridge between the particular learners you are
guiding and the exercise and other material in the guidebook.
